Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Group, Family or Corporate Safaris - 2010 (4 nights/ 5 days)
Join me for 5 days as we explore South Africa’s biggest and most well known National Park, staying in two different camps and traversing different habitat types and vegetation zones.
The journey will start between the hills and valleys where the Letaba and Olifants rivers cut through the water thirsty land. The water in the rivers is a lifeline which attracts a variety of animal and birdlife of which we will be seeking. We will also visit the world renowned Elephant Hall in Letaba camp, where we will look at the “Magnificent Seven” and all the other very interesting elephant facts. A guided walk in the early morning with a Kruger Park guide can be booked as an optional extra.
Accomodation in Olifants camp is in a comfortable guesthouse (4 double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, lounge and dining room, all with air conditioning) situated on top of a hill towering several hundred meters over the Olifants river with a view that will take your breath away.
On the 3rd morning we will migrate south to the sweet Marula plains of the Satara area where the plains game abounds and the predators are not far behind. We have a lot of exploring to do with a variety of game viewing roads, 2 bird hides and 3 picnic sites to choose from. We will also do the exclusive Mananga 4x4 adventure trail, limited to only a few vehicles per day.
In Satara we will be staying in one of their guesthouses situated in the lush green garden with prolific birdlife and a view over the open savannah.
Catering during the stay will include coffee/tea with cookies & rusks before we depart for our early morning safaris. Mineral water and fruit juice will be available on the safari vehicle at all times. We will return to camp before it gets too hot (usually between 10 am -11 am) for a nice big brunch each day.
The time between brunch and high tea can be used for downloading photographs taken during safari, bird watching in the gardens, cooling down in the swimming pool, reading a book or even having a siesta.
High tea will be served just before we depart on our afternoon safari (which is usually about 3 hours in duration) where after we will return when the camps gate closes (time is seasonal) for a sumptuous South African dinner under the stars (weather permitting).
