Lilacbreasted Rollers (Coracias caudata) are common residents or local migrants in southern Africa and prefer savanna and open woodland. They perch conspicuously on top of bushes and trees and flies to the ground to catch their prey, which consists mainly out of insects, scorpions, lizards, frogs & small snakes.
